RUBC Rules of Conduct

Resolving Unfair Business Corporation (RUBC) is seeking diverse opinions and ideas from individuals, corporations and business. All are welcome to provide their opinions and ideas.

What is not acceptable, is relatively straight forward:

NO flaming, insulting and derogatory comments. Attacking an individual because of their ideas will not be tolerated. Argue the merits, or lack of merit, of an opinion or idea, not the character of the person expressing it.

NO libellous or slanderous statements or activities will be tolerated.

Religious and/or race based discussions are not appropriate for the forums on this site. They will not be accepted. This is not to be confused with moral and ethical discussions which are expected to be a crucial part of this site.

Hateful statements and those designed to incite hatred or violence will not be tolerated.

Opinions must be identified as such. Information put forward as factual must be supported by verifiable independent sources. Any “fact” subsequently shown to be inaccurate will be identified as such and will be removed.

Opinions are acceptable, provided they are expressed in a manner that will not offend a reasonable person. If you have a belief which you cannot substantiate, then pose the issue as a question.

Any posting found to be untruthful or misleading will be identified as such. Particularly offensive postings will be edited or deleted, leaving no ambiguity as to the type of posting identified.

Advertising, surveys (other than RUBC sponsored), chain letters or other inappropriate postings will not be tolerated and will be removed.

Any person identifying themselves as one person and shown to be impersonating someone else will be exposed. Lying will be not be tolerated and will be exposed.

Individuals violating these rules will be sanctioned. Such action will include warnings and may include being denied access to participate in this website.

Internet “Trolls” are welcome; diversity is required for the concept RUBC supports to be effective. Trolls can expect their ideas and opinions to be countered and possibly ridiculed in the one way that is impossible to deflect: intelligent, reasoned and thoughtful prose. Members are reminded, even though trolls are welcomed at RUBC, just as in a zoo please do not feed the trolls. Report inappropriate posts and comments instead. In this manner we may possibly be successful in rehabilitating some of trolls.

Anonymous posting is encouraged; the rules, however, must be followed. Anonymous opinions obviously will not earn the same level of respect and consideration as those from registered members. Having said that, it is recognized many people will be unable to allow themselves to be identified, due to economic and possible safety concerns. This is a sad reality of our modern world as we seek to influence and change it in a positive manner. Something we are looking to influence in a positive manner.

Everyone is encouraged to flag inappropriate postings and/or comments at the earliest opportunity.
